Avanti Bhati is a Partner at Osborne Partners, based in Mumbai.
Prior to joining Osborne Partners, Avanti was a Managing Director at FTI Consulting's Forensic and Litigation Consulting practice specialising in business intelligence. Prior to her role at FTI, Avanti has worked in the forensics practices for Ernst & Young, Deloitte and Kroll.
Avanti brings almost two decades of experience conducting in-depth investigative, business intelligence and political risk assignments. She has led several large pre-investment investigative due diligence engagements, multi-jurisdictional post-investment investigations, litigation support projects and political risk assessments.
Her work on asset search engagements across multiple jurisdictions has led to the identification of unencumbered assets worth millions of dollars, in turn securing Counsel favourable judgments in a key lawsuit. She is regarded as a trusted advisor by several large private equities, hedge funds, VCs and multinational corporations.
Avanti has a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy with a specialisation in Security Studies and International Business Relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts University. She also has a Master of Arts in Modern Indian History, graduating in the top five of her class from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
