Osborne Partners participates in the launch of the GAR Academy
Our partner, Montek Mayal, is part of the GAR Academy faculty for Damages in International Arbitration. This is an exciting initiative which aims to break down damages and teach sections in a user-friendly and simple way. Montek will cover the legal principles that govern the award of damages, the assessment and valuation of damages, and damages issues in specific industries - namely electricity and gas supplies. The teaching has been designed with arbitrators and counsel in mind and is for those with a very basic understanding as well as a more confident grasp.

Osborne Partners is delighted to announce the appointment of Oliver Watts as a Partner based in Singapore, leading the office there. Oliver was previously a Managing Director in the economic and financial consulting team at a large international expert services and advisory firm.With almost fifteen years of experience performing economic and financial analysis and business valuations, more than ten of which have been in Singapore, Oliver is a well-known and respected expert in Southeast Asia. Having cemented his reputation as a WWL ‘Future Leader’ in arbitration, he is now included in the ‘Global Elite’ category of thought leaders under 45 and brings valuable experience and expertise to the market. Oliver regularly acts as expert in diverse cases and has testified before the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the Singapore High Court and the Asian International Arbitration Centre in Malaysia.

Osborne Partners is delighted to announce the appointment of Avanti Bhati as a Partner based in Mumbai, heading our investigations practice. Avanti was previously a Managing Director in the Global Risk and Investigations team at a large international consulting firm. Avanti brings a depth of experience conducting in-depth investigative, business intelligence and political risk assignments in the Indian subcontinent and in the Asia Pacific region.
